Madison Gas and Electric

Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) generates and distributes electricity to 146,000 customers in Dane County and purchases and distributes natural gas to 152,000 customers in seven south-central and western Wisconsin counties.  They are part-owner of American Transmission Company (ATC) along with other utilities, municipalities, municipal electric companies, and electric cooperatives from Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and Illinois.
